The Facts

  • Saratoga Commons has been in a steep decline for over 5 years. This trend will continue if no action is taken.
  • We won't be able to fix everything over night but the sooner we start the sooner we can fix it.
  • Properties cannot be maintained without maintenance fees which lowers the value of the deteriorating condo.
  • We have no money reserved for emergencies; if a pipe bursts or roof collapses the building may be condemened.
  • All it takes is teamwork; if we all pay maintenance fees we can lower all of our fees.
  • With a majority vote we can actually rewrite some of the bylaws that prevent us from making dramatic changes.
  • If we let this financial domino effect continue, more and more people will stop paying which results in higher fees which makes more people stop paying. Conversely, if more people pay the fees are reduced and more people will be inclined to pay again.

How are we going to fix Saratoga Commons?

  • The most important part is communication. If we can come together as a community and agree on certain issues we can begin to move forward to rectify them. According to the condo by-laws, if 51% of condo owners agree on a particular course of action that action can be taken. The primary purpose of this site is to serve as a contact directory of condo owners and to provide a way for all of them to communicate and stay informed. This site also serves as an open forum for the exchange of ideas and thoughts. We need everyone to register and provide their recent contact information so we can send you email alerts regarding your condo. Even if you are not political and do not want any part in the discussions, it will still be very helpful to register to receive email alerts for YOUR condo!
